Hillsborough County

  •  Zoo Tampa New Years Celebration: Bring the whole family to this wild daytime celebration at Zoo Tampa on Friday, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. In addition to learning about the zoo’s exciting animals, there will be a celebration in Wallaroo Station featuring contests, giveaways, a DJ, and a special visit from Manny T. and Flora Panther that all culminates in a countdown to… noon!

  •  Outback Bowl: Watch as Tampa hosts one of the biggest games in college football! On Friday, The Outback Bowl is rolling out its parade in Downtown Ybor. From 5:30 to 8:30 pm watch as the floats cruise down Seventh Avenue, and listen to the charging sounds of the Arkansas and Penn State marching bands. Then on game day, Saturday at noon, watch as the two titanic teams duke it out at Raymond James Stadium.

  • A Fantastical New Year: Ring in the new year with some healthy competition at A Fantastical New Year party at Tampa Shuffle! Friday night from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am play some shuffleboard in the Heights while listening to performances by The Fantastical Tigers, Psych Montano, Sir.Perf and DJJETFUEL. The party also offers a buffet and a champagne toast at midnight.

  • New Years Eve at Armature Works: Armature Works will be holding two New Year’s Eve events this Saturday! The first will be a kid-friendly Noon Year’s Eve celebration which goes from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Greg Wolf of the Tampa Bay Lightning will be hosting this celebration which includes children’s music group Bears and Lions, treat vendors, and inflatable slides. The second event caters to a more grown up crowd, with Armature Works New Year’s celebration starting at 8:00 pm and offering live entertainment from Ed John, Oaklee, and DJ Deacon, as well as stunning views of the fireworks lighting up the Tampa skyline over the Hillsborough River.

 

Pasco County

  • New Year’s Eve at The Grove: The Grove’s kid-friendly New Year’s bash, Noon Year’s Eve, is happening this Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Look forward to a confetti blast, bubble & magic shows, fireworks, a dance party, and a gem & beauty workshop! The event is free for children 13 and under, with tickets available to purchase here. The Grove will also be hosting a more traditional New Year’s Eve party from 9:30 pm to 1:30 with live music, dancing, refreshments, and the biggest fireworks show in Wesley Chapel.

  • Lights Fest New Year’s Eve: Witness a stunning lantern launch when the clock strikes midnight this New Year’s at Little Everglades Ranch in Dade City. In addition to lighting lanterns, you can grab something to eat at one of the several local food trucks that will be on the premises, and curl up to a movie on the big screen.   •  New Years Eve at the Postcard Inn: The Postcard Inn is transforming their Garden Courtyard into a Winter Wonderland 2,000-square-foot synthetic ice skating rink! The Garden will also feature snow machines and dazzling lights, while the nearby firepit offers a cozy setting complete with hot cocoa, holiday treats, and festive libations. On New Years, the Postcard Inn will also be featuring live music by and a laser light show, with the skating rink open from 11:00 am to midnight. Normal skating hours are from 1:00 am to 8:00 pm with a $15 admission fee (skate rental included), with the rink staying open till January 3rd.

    First Night St Pete: St Pete’s 29th annual celebration of the arts, First Night, is happening Friday night from 4:00 to 11:30 pm. Witness larger-than-life interactive exhibitions by local artists with fire jugglers, sea creature puppets, and a monarch butterfly installation taking to the streets.   • New Year's Eve Hogmanay Ceilidh: The New Year’s festivities at Dunedin’s Scottish Cultural Center will have a Celtic twist this Friday at Hogmanay Ceilidh. Celebrate with classic Scottish fare like Steak Pies, partake in a champagne toast at midnight, and enjoy some delectable shortbread cookies to start off the New Year. Live music will be performed by Celtic Conundrum with Scottish attire encouraged.
