Hillsborough County

  • Strawberry Picking: Strawberry season is back again in the bay area, which can mean only one thing… strawberry picking! Friday, from 11:00 am to 4:00pm, Keel Farms will let visitors pick their own strawberries for $8 a pound. Take the opportunity to enjoy a day of fresh air, sunshine, and some tasty berries.

  • Gingerbread Village: Explore a gingerbread paradise made entirely out of recycled materials at the Glazer Children’s Museum this Sunday. In addition to exploring the museum’s Gingerbread Village, kids can come up with their own recycled creations and then add on to the village themselves. While the museum will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the exhibit will stay open until January 3rd.

  • Snow Days at Florida Aquarium: Snow is coming to the Florida Aquarium! Explore a snow maze, throw snowballs at pollution monsters, and even bust a move at the winter wonderland dance! The world is your oyster at Snow Days, the aquarium’s seasonal event that is debuting this Sunday.

  • WWE Holiday: Have a high-octane holiday weekend, as the WWE’s holiday tour comes to Tampa this Sunday. Starting at 7:30 pm, some of the WWE’s top Smackdown Superstars will be wrestling for a festive night complete with a six-man tag team event, women’s championship match, and much more! Pasco County

  • Santa and Tree Lighting at Wiregrass: What better way to spend Christmas Eve than with Santa? Wiregrass Mall will be hosting a meet-and-greet with Santa from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, where you can visit and take photos with the jolly man himself. The mall will also be presenting Symphony in Lights, in which the 55-foot tree at the center of the mall will light up in dancing lights that are choreographed to hit holiday classics by Trans Siberian Orchestra. The event is free, with Symphony in Lights staying at Wiregrass through December 31st.

  • Pajama Party Skate: Glide into some Winter fun at the Advent Health Center Ice rink! Sunday, from 8:15 to 10:30 pm, the rink will be hosting a pajama party, in which guests can skate in their coziest holiday pajamas. Tickets to skate cost $15, with an ice skate rental costing an additional $5.

Pinellas County

  •  Winter Beach: During this weekend, and through the season, St Petersburg Pier is holding a Winter Beach event equipped with an ice skating rink, live music, shopping, an arcade, and even Santa sightings. This weekend, Winter Beach will be open from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. Make sure to stop by while it’s still here, as the winter beach will leave on January 17th!

  • Dunedin Downtown Market: Get any last minute holiday shopping squared away at the Dunedin Downtown Market! Stop by at Pioneer Park this Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and peruse some handmade gifts, art, and crafts, and enjoy some delicious local food and produce.

  • Oakdale Christmas Display: Visit the Christmas display that has been featured on HGTV and NBC’s Today Show, and has been a St Pete tradition since 1977. This year’s display, which takes place on a private residence, features over 300,000 lights, a railroad display, and plenty of games. Admission to this display is free, with the display showing from 6:00 to 10:00 pm every night.

Sarasota/Manatee County

  •  Bradenton Blues Brunch: Got a case of the Sunday blues? From 11:00 am to 2:00 pm this Sunday, enjoy live blues music and sustainable, local cuisine on the Bradenton RIverwalk at Mattison’s City Grille. There is no admission fee or cover charge for the Bradenton Blues Brunch, as the event is no additional cost to Mattison’s patrons.

 

Polk County

  •   Blue Collar Band: Celebrate Christmas and let the good times roll at Winter Haven’s own tiki bar, The Caribbean Bay! Caribbean Bay is hosting a party on Saturday, Christmas Day, that’s being headlined by local rock-n-roll outfit the Blue Collar Band. The event will be held from 8:00 pm to midnight.

 

Citrus County

  •  Citrus County Cars and Coffee: Cruise on down Cattle Dog County Roasters to see cool cars and car enthusiasts at the Citrus County Cars and Coffee event. The event is family-friendly, so feel free to bring everyone to have some breakfast and look at some classic and exotic cars.

 

Lee County

  •  Farmers Market: Take a break from the heavy holiday fare and get some fresh air at the Gulf Coast Town Center farmer’s market. This Sunday, the Art and Farm Market will open bright and early, offering fresh produce, arts & crafts, sweet treats, and more from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
