Fun Things to Do In The Tampa Bay Area This Weekend (11/12-11/14)

Hillsborough County

  •  Holiday Gift Market at the Fairgrounds: Get your gift shopping done early this year at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall this Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Come for the unique local vendors and stay for special veteran’s day pop-up shops, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a princess breakfast! Proceeds of the event help The Junior League of Tampa.   • Temple Terrace Arts and Crafts Festival: Witness the creative works of over 100 artists, crafters, and floral designers this Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Temple Terrace Arts and Crafts Festival. In addition to the dozens of vendors and displays, the festival will also feature live entertainment, food trucks, and workshops for children’s arts and crafts.

  •  Tampa Oddities and Curiosities Expo: Experience a showcase of all things weird at the Tampa Convention Center, this Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Peruse unusual antiques, art, jewelry, and creepy clothing, or learn something new and attend a class on taxidermy.

  • Interactive Mystery Dinner Show: Be the star of your own murder mystery this Saturday, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn Westshore. Look for clues while you share a delicious dinner to determine the culprit, as you witness a story of suspense and hilarity where anyone can become the next suspect. Tickets are available here.

 

Pasco County

  • Starkey Ranch Fall Fair: Celebrate Fall with plenty of food trucks, local vendors, inflatables, and much more at the Starkey Ranch Fall Fair at Starkey Ranch District Park. This Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

  • Grove Market at Liquid Garage Co: Let the good times roll at this open-air market happening at The Liquid Garage Co brewery in New Port Richey on Saturday from 2:00 to 7:00 pm. The Grove Market showcases artists, creators, and small businesses from the community.

  • Florida Bug Jam: Do you like Volkswagons? Then buckle up for the annual Florida Bug Jam, taking place all weekend at the Pasco Fairgrounds. In addition to car shows, Bug Jam will be featuring food trucks, live music, kids activities, and special events (like a parade through Downtown Dade City) all weekend long!

Pinellas County

  •  Sponge Docks Seafood Festival: The fun is returning to Athens Street this weekend at the 33rd annual Sponge Docks Seafood Festival. Boasting a wide variety of local seafood, continuous live music, and an arts and craft show with over 60 artisans, this year’s Seafood Festival is sure to be a hit!

  •  Movies in the Park: Bring the whole family to watch a movie on the big screen under the stars at Largo Central Park! Friday at 6:30 pm there will be a screening of Tom and Jerry, with concessions available.

  •  HOB’s Downtown Dunedin : This Friday, from 6:00 to 10:00pm , the HOB Brewing Company hosts their Night Market! This is a family & dog friendly outdoor event, with plenty of opportunities to eat good food, shop local vendor and enjoy the music.

Sarasota/Manatee County

  •  Siesta Key Crystal Classic: Come see sand sculptures like never before at the Siesta Key Crystal Classic. 24 master sculptors will be competing in individual and team events in the Master Sand Sculpting Competition, with the winner being determined by a vote from the public. There will also be food trucks, local vendors, sand sculpting classes, and amateur competitions for up-and-coming sculptors.

Polk County

  • A Night of Destruction: Get ready for a high-octane weekend of entertainment at the Auburndale Speedway. This Friday from 8:00 to !0:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 to 11:00 pm, A Night of Destruction will feature monster trucks, a school bus demolition derby, a burnout contest, and much more. Citrus County

  • Ocali Country Days Festival: This annual event celebrates the history and culture of old Florida. The Country Days Festival offers food, music, and interactive exhibitions that teach visitors more about blacksmithing, log cabins, rearing cattle, weaving, and more. The festival will be on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. with tickets available at the Silver River Museum for $5.

 

Lee County

  • Fort Meyers Villas Fall Festival: Sit back, relax, and enjoy the local food and live music at this festival for the Fort Myers community! The festivities take place on Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and will also host a raffle, and the Humane Society with furry friends available to adopt!
