Wesley Chapel houses twin creeks because of which it was initially called Double Branch. The name Wesley Chapel was derived from the Methodist chapel located once on Boyette Road. Florida Hospital is the newest hospital in Wesley Chapel along with Community College campus is also newly constructed.
