Hillsborough County

  • Bryan Callen: Comedian, actor, and podcaster Bryan Callen will be coming to the Tampa Improv this weekend with two shows at 7:45 and 10:15 pm this Friday, and one at 9:45 pm this Saturday. Callen is known for his podcast The Fighter and The Kid, his work as one of the original cast members in MadTV, and his recurring role as Coach Mellor on ABC’s Schooled and The Goldbergs.

  • Bon Jovi: On the heels of their critically acclaimed 2020 album, Bon Jovi is returning to Amelie Arena this Friday at 8:00 pm with brand new songs in addition to their repertoire of classic rock hits. The energy of their live shows is said to be unparalleled, so make sure to witness the iconic band that managed to make the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame, launch a radio station for fans, and sell over 130 million albums worldwide.

  • Tampa’s Downtown Eggsploration: Tampa Bay’s largest egg hunt is coming to Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park this Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. At Tampa’s Downtown Eggsploration, there will be thousands of eggs for people of all ages to find, with an 18 and over egg hunt that has a Downtown Staycation as the grand prize. You can also enjoy a bite to eat at any of the local food trucks that will be in attendance, take a picture with the Easter Bunny, and check out the several children’s activities that will be taking place throughout the day!

  • Adult Easter Egg Hunt: MacDinton’s Pub and Restaurant is hosting an egg hunt of their own this Sunday starting at 11:00 am! Scattered across the restaurant are two hundred eggs filled with coupons for free food, drinks, retail items, and money with one lucky egg hiding the grand prize of $500.

  • Hop Movie: Stop by the historic Tampa Theatre this Sunday, and see a lighthearted family movie about an unassuming rock n’ roll rabbit who has to learn what it takes to be the Easter Bunny. The film features performances from Russel Brand, James Marsden, and Hank Azaria, with the screening starting at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $10 for adult admission and $8 for kids 2-12.

     

Pasco County

  • A Night In Monte Carlo: Prepare to be transported to a swanky lounge scene in Monte Carlo, as the Rotary Club of New Tampa holds its annual themed fundraiser this Saturday at the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa-Wesley Chapel. In addition to a raffle and 50/50, the event will feature hors d’oeuvers, coffee, dessert, and a cocktail included with the ticket. The event will go from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.

  • Easter Bunch at Tiki Cove: Celebrate the holiday with some island flair this Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Tiki Cove Easter Brunch. The event will be offering all-you-can-eat breakfast and lunch options such as an omelet station, honey-baked ham, smoked salmon, and chicken marsala. This brunch will also host an egg hunt, as well as an encounter with the Easter Bunny.

  • Glow in the Dark Egg Hunt: Delight in a unique twist on an old Easter tradition this Saturday at the Glow in the Dark Egg Hunt at Safety Town in Shady Hills, FL! Admission is $18 for adults and $7 for kids 7 and under. It includes an Easter dinner, a chance to hunt for eggs, various games to play, and a free Easter egg bag! The event is host to raffles and auctions with some great prizes to win. All the proceeds go to benefit the REConnections Education Center so hop on over for some family-friendly Easter fun!

Pinellas County

  • Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live: Journey to the land of Make-Believe this Friday at the Mahaffey Theater as Daniel Tiger and friends take your family on a fun-filled interactive adventure. Based on characters and curriculum from Fred Rogers and Mister Rogers Neighborhood, this show helps children build social-emotional skills while promoting imagination, creativity, and fun. The show will start at 6:00 pm, Friday evening.

  • Mainsail Art Festival: One of Sunshine Artist Magazine’s top 14 Fine Art and Design Shows in the US, the Mainsail Art Festival is celebrating its 47th year, as the festival returns this Saturday and Sunday to Vinoy Park. The main event includes juried art competitions for local artists with over $60,000 in prize money being distributed among award winners. The festival will also highlight student art in a K12 competition for Pinellas county students. Live music, performance artists, and local food trucks will also be at the park this weekend, so make sure to stop by this event.

  • Footloose at Demens Landing: The electrifying dance production Footloose is coming to Demens Park this weekend! Produced by the talented actors, singers, and dancers at American Stage this musical is full of high-energy footwork and critically acclaimed musical numbers that highlight the wisdom that can come from young people. Tickets are still available for the showing this Saturday at 8:00 pm, so grab them while you can.

  • Poetry in Motion: Marvel at the works on display at the Poetry in Motion gallery show at the Beach Art Center this coming Friday. Accompanying the myriad of artwork collected by the gallery are selections of poetry inspired by the pieces on display. These verses come from both local and national poets who viewed the show previously and will be judged alongside the pieces at the Gallery Show Reception on April 22nd, however, the exhibition will remain open until May 11th.

 

Sarasota/Manatee County

  • Romeo and Juliet: Immerse yourself in the arts at Polk Theatre with a ballet version of the classic Shakespearean play Romeo and Juliet, presented by the incredibly talented Russian Ballet Orlando. Experience the passionate romance, epic sword fights, and tragic story of literature’s most infamous pair of star-crossed lovers set to a beautiful score composed by Sergei Prokofiev and directed by Katerina Fedotova.   • Spring Egg-stravaganza: Nothing egg-citing to do on Saturday in Citrus county? We got you covered with the Spring Egg-stravaganza at Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. Kids can scour for a chance to find gold and silver prize eggs, and meet the Easter bunny at this B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Basket) event. Then once the fun is over, visit the Wildlife Park right next door. The best part is that the hunt is completely free, however, Wildlife Park admission fees still apply.

 

Lee County

  • 6th Annual Touch-a-Truck: This event is a must for any kids that are interested in trucks or other vehicles. From 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, Touch-a-Truck offers a hands-on experience with the drivers of emergency service, law enforcement, public service, and military vehicles and gives kids a chance to see what it’s like to be a real professional behind the wheel!
