  • Real Women Have Curves: The Powerstories Theater is returning after a two-year intermission with their production of Real Women Have Curves this weekend. The stage play, which inspired the America Ferrera film of the same name, was written in 1990 by Josefina Lopez and tells the story of five headstrong women who work in a tiny sewing factory in East LA.

  • Arts Legacy Remix: This Friday’s Arts Legacy Remix kicks off a series of performances inspired by traditions from across the globe. Starting at 7:00 pm at the Riverwalk Stage, this show will celebrate Italian culture through music, dancing, art, and poetry. This event is free to attend, but a reservation is required ahead of time for entry.

  • Pool Party with Zedd: Enjoy the sunshine and hang out by the pool with EDM legend Zedd this Sunday at the Seminole Hard Rock. Listen to the DJ and producer behind #1 hits such as Alessia Cara’s “Stay” and Maren Morris and Grey’s “Middle”.

  • Tig Notaro: Emmy and Grammy-nominated comedian Tig Notaro is making a stop at the Tampa Theatre this Sunday. If you aren’t familiar with her from talk shows like Ellen and The Late Show, you might have seen her work in her show One Mississippi, Star Trek Discovery, or Zach Snyder’s Army of the Dead. Her show starts at 7:00 pm and will feature her famous deadpan delivery and offbeat observations.

 

Pasco County

  •  Boyette Family Farms: Dig into some delicious farm-fresh goods at Boyette Family Farm in Wesley Chapel this weekend. A local stop for produce and fresh eggs, Boyette Farm is family-owned and open Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. On Saturday, the farm is hosting several food trucks including the Kake Shoppe which offers cookies, cake pops, and cake by the slice as well as Franco’s Fusion which offers Latin American favorites with an Asian twist.   • Anastasia: See a heartwarming depiction of the animated classic Anastasia live this Saturday at Dayspring Academy. The production revolves around the mysterious disappearance of Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov with showings at 2:00 and 7:00 pm. Tickets start at $7 per person with proceeds going to benefit the Dayspring Academy’s Early College Prep.

  • Angelus Music Festival: Listen to a country music icon this Saturday at the Angelus in Hudson, as Neal McCoy headlines their music festival. The event will also feature several local favorites such as the Bearded Brothers Band, Monkey Bone, and the Embry Brothers Band. Food and drink vendors will be available onsite. Tickets start at $20 with the proceeds from the event going towards the Angelus residential program for non-ambulatory Cerebral Palsy clients.

Pinellas County

  • Bert’s Tribute to America: A weekend-long celebration of all things America just in time for President’s Day, Bert’s Tribute to America will be held at OCC Road House and Museum from Friday to Monday. The museum will host plenty of live music from cover bands honoring legends like Stevie Nicks, Metallica, and Green Day, as well as a flag dedication ceremony and a Coast Guard flyover.

  • Brunched: Munch on unlimited brunch this Saturday at the Mahaffey Theater! At Brunched, partake in endless brunch and drink samples from Bay Area restaurants while enjoying the waterfront views and photo opportunities. The event will also feature a Bloody Mary competition that pits local culinary titans against one another that will have guests vote to determine who has the best Bloody Mary in the Bay!

  • Dunedin Arts and Crafts Festival: The annual Downtown Dunedin Craft Festival is returning for its 29th year! The festival will highlight over 150 different vendors that specialize in jewelry, sculpture, painting, ceramics, and much more. The event will take place this Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Sarasota/Manatee County

  •  Thunder by The Bay: Sarasota’s 24th annual music and motorcycle festival, Thunder by The Bay, is rolling into the Sarasota Fairgrounds this Friday. All weekend long jam out to continuous live music, eat great food, and enjoy motorcycle rides on the wide-open road! The event will also feature a burnout contest, bike show, and camping. The event will benefit Suncoast Charities for Children.

Polk County

  •  Orange Blossom Festival: Rev your engines because the 20th annual Orange Blossom Festival is coming to Frostproof this weekend. Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, stop by for the classic car shows, live music, and bounce houses. The event is free to attend, with food and drinks vendors present at the event.

 

Citrus County

  •  Cooking Class: Cooking and shopping for 1-2 people may seem like a daunting task but the Homosassa Public Library is here to help! The library is offering a free cooking class that demonstrates how to plan, shop, and prepare a delicious home-cooked meal. Participate in the live cooking demonstration on Friday at 10:30.

  •  Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade: The celebration of Thomas Edison’s life culminates in the Grand Parade, named the largest night parade in the Southeast! This two-hour extravaganza starts at 7:00 pm Saturday night and features marching bands, clowns, and over 30 different floats.
