Hillsborough County

  •  Romeo and Juliet: Shakespeare’s 300-year-old story of the world’s most famous star-crossed lovers has come to the Straz Center! This iteration of Romeo and Juliet takes place in the 1980s and features an original 80s influenced score as well as high definition video design.   • Art After Dark: Support Tampa Bay’s local art scene this Friday at 6:00 pm at Art After Dark. See 16 local artists showcase their works in 81Bay Brewery’s taproom, listen to live music, and compete in a raffle for a collaborative piece that features work from each of the participating artists.

  • Gabriel Iglesias: See world-famous standup comic Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias as he returns to Tampa for his “Back On” tour! This Friday at 8:00 pm at the Yuengling Center, the comedian and star of the Netflix sitcom Mr. Iglesias will be sure to leave you in6 stitches!

  •  Children’s Gasparilla Extravaganza: Children’s Gasparilla will be invading Tampa Bay this Saturday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. This year’s lineup is sure to be fun for the whole family, with this Gasparilla featuring a preschooler’s stroll down Bayshore Boulevard, an air show, and an evening “Piratechnics” display. The main event, the parade, will be happening from 3:30 to 6:00 pm and will feature pirates, floats, marching bands, and plenty of beads!

 

Pasco County

  • Carnival at The Grove: Delight in the thrilling midway rides, tasty fair food, and carnival games this weekend at The Grove at Wesley Chapel. The carnival will take place all weekend long, with the event open from 5:00 to 10:00 pm on Friday, 12:00 to 11:00 pm on Saturday, and 12:00 to 10:00 pm on Sunday. Admission is free with ride tickets and wristbands available to purchase online or at the event.

  • Goats and Gulps: Enjoy happy hour this Saturday from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at In The Loop Brewing with a twist: cuddly goats to keep you company! Sip local brews and craft sodas at Goats and Gulps, all while these bleating buddies will jump, cuddle, and play. Tickets to the event are $25 and include a drink on the house. This event is family-friendly, with soft drinks and juice available at the event.

  • Moon Market at Tiki Cove: Visit the Moon Market at Tiki Cove this Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm and shop from over 20 local vendors. In addition, there will be live music, fresh produce, and food and drinks. This event is family and pet-friendly!

Pinellas County

  • John’s Pass Seafood Festival: Cut loose at the 40th annual John’s Pass Seafood Festival in Madeira Beach! Check out the hundreds of craft, art, and food vendors and dance to the live music that will be playing all weekend.

  • Tweed Ride: The St Petersburg Shuffleboard Club will be hosting its 10th annual Tweed Ride this Saturday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. Tea and scones will be available at the Club before kickoff at 4:00, when cyclists will ride in vintage and tweed attire through Downtown St Pete. The after-party starts at 5:00 with dinner, live music, drinks, and portraits taken by artist Todd Bates.

  • Live from Nashville: Ruth Eckerd Hall will be hosting Live From Nashville this Sunday at 1:00 pm, an homage to legends in country music, featuring songs by Taylor Swift, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, and Dolly Parton. Even the set design and costuming will transport you to Music City, and evoke the treasured history of Nashville’s music scene. Tickets start at $18.

Sarasota/Manatee County

  •   Manatee County Fair: Come one, come all to this year’s Manatee County Fair! Where else could you go to enjoy a day of pig racing, funnel cake eating, and coaster riding? The carnival will be open all weekend, with hours of operations and ticket prices available here.

Polk County

  •  Great Florida Bigfoot Conference: Convinced that sasquatch is real? Listen to some of the leading bigfoot researchers at the Great Florida Bigfoot Conference! The event is Saturday at the RP Funding Center from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with tickets starting at $25 for general admission.

 

Citrus County

  •  Coastal Heritage Museum: Got an inkling to learn more about Citrus County’s rich history? Come to the Coastal Heritage Museum, located in Crystal River’s old City Hall Building! The museum features a number of artifacts, photos, and displays that illustrate what life was like in the community nearly a century ago. Admission is free, with the museum open from Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 3:00 pm.

 

Lee County

  •  Caloosahatchee Celtic Festival: Celebrate all things Celtic at the Caloosahatchee Celtic Festival in Fort Meyers this Friday and Saturday. Partake in some Celtic food like meat pies or fish and chips, shop at vendors offering Celtic garb, and listen to the non-stop live Celtic music. The kickoff party starts Friday at 5:00 to 10:00 pm, while the gates open Saturday at 11:00 am with the festivities going until 10:00 pm.
