Hillsborough County

  •  Summer: The Donna Summer Musical: Watch a production of a fun disco-filled jukebox musical at the Straz Center this weekend that tells the life story of music icon Donna Summer.   •  Busch Gardens Mardi Gras: Let the good times roll at the opening weekend of Busch Gardens’ Mardi Gras celebration. Enjoy parades, Cajun-style food, and plenty of beads as the festivities commence til March 6th. Mardis Gras at Busch Gardens will also host live performances of the Brass Band, and concerts featuring local musicians.

  •  Gasparilla: A Tampa Tradition: The scenic Henry B Plant Museum will be showcasing a new exhibit that highlights more than a century of parties, parades, and pirate krewes starting this Friday. The exhibit will feature party gowns from Gasparilla queens, memorabilia like invitations and doubloons, and a film that shows early Gasparilla parades. In addition, at 6:45 on the opening day of the exhibit, the museum will host an event called The Legend, Lie & Legacy of Gasparilla which highlights the sensational stories surrounding the parade’s history in Tampa Bay.

  • USF vs UCF Men’s Basketball Game: The War on I4 continues this Saturday, as the USF Men’s Basketball Team squares off against UCF at the Yuengling Center. The game kicks of at 7:00 pm, with tickets ranging from $25 to $100. For tickets and venue details, click here.

Pasco County

  • Market Days at The Crossvine: Experience a new monthly market this Saturday at the Crossvine in Connerton that highlights local artisans, handmade goods, fresh produce, and good food. In addition, the market will be featuring live entertainment and activities for the whole family!

  • Concert in the Park: Come to Sims Park this Saturday, enjoy the fresh air, and listen to the booming arena rock sound of Majesty of Rock, a band of five performers known for their covers of famous Journey and Styx tracks. The event is totally free, with the concert happening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

  • Parents Night Out: Parents can enjoy some time to themselves this Saturday, with Wesley Chapel District Park offering a Parent’s Night Out from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. The rec center will be featuring an evening of games, movies, and fun activities for the kids. Tickets are $10 per child, with children ages 5-13 being admitted to the event.

Pinellas County

  •  St Pete Beer, Bacon, and BBQ: Savor the over 50 bacon and barbecue dishes being offered all weekend at the St Pete Beer, Bacon, and BBQ Festival at Vinoy Park.   •  Dunedin International Film Festival: Explore the world of cinema at the 4th annual Dunedin International Film Festival this weekend. Screen movies from across the globe as well movies made by local filmmakers at a number of different Dunedin landmarks. The festival will also simultaneously be hosting a virtual event, in which you can stream the movies from the comfort of your own home.

  • Toes on the Sand Market at Postcard Inn: Postcard Inn’s first-ever open-air market, Toes on the Sand Market, is coming to the beach this Sunday at 2:00 pm. Enjoy handmade goods from over 30 local vendors, live music, food, and drink specials. Entry to the market is free, but parking is $5 per vehicle.

Sarasota/Manatee County

  •  Sarasota Seafood and Music Festival: Enjoy a diverse offering of sustainably caught seafood, meat & vegetarian offerings, and desserts at the Sarasota Seafood and Music Festival. Listen to some of Florida’s top musical groups while you eat, and shop at the marketplace of local artisans and vendors all weekend long. Admission to the event is free with the festivities being held on Friday from 4:00 to 10:00 pm, Saturday from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, and Sunday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Polk County

  •  Central Florida Comic-Con: Lakeland’s own Central Florida Comic-Con is returning to the RP Funding studio this weekend. Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, come see comics artists, voice actors, cosplay, and plenty of nerdy art and collectibles.

 

Citrus County

  •  Manatee Festival: Go on a manatee boating excursion, listen to live music, and visit the Hippie Village to make psychedelic crafts at the Manatee Festival this weekend in Downtown Crystal River. The event will also offer a fine art walk, a guided kayak tour, and two local food courts. The Manatee Festival will take place Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission for adults is $5.

 

Lee County

  •  Celebration in the Sky: Witness the Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee light up with a dazzling fireworks display called Celebration in the Sky on Saturday at 9:00 pm. NuClassic, an electro-pop violin band and America’s Got Talent alum, will be performing live during the show. Admission is free with food and drinks available to purchase at the event.
