Fun Things to Do In The Tampa Bay Area This Weekend (10/29-10/31)

Hillsborough County

  • Dr Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde: Showing at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Jobsite presents the story of Dr. Jekyll, a scientist who uses his own experiment to unleash a villainous alter ego of himself. Tickets are available here, with showings at 8:00 pm Friday and Saturday, and 4:00 pm on Sunday.

  • An Eerie Evening at the Tampa Bay Hotel: Visit the Plant Museum for a thrilling Halloween event! See the Museum as you've never see it before and investigate a questionable death at the Hotel. Tours are on Friday and Saturday and can be scheduled for 5:30 to 6:30 pm, 6:45 to 7:45 pm, and 8:00-9:00 pm. Tickets cost $20 for museum members, and $30 for non-members.

  • Shimmering Lights Fall Festival: The not scary activities will include a quarter mile walking train with hundreds of themed lighted displays, outdoor movies, games, and much more! The festivities will be taking place from 7:00 to 10:30 pm at Sunkissed Acres in Dover. Tickets are $7 for everyone ages 3 and older, and can be purchased at the gate or in advance here.

Pasco County

  • Swamp Fest: Look no further than the Land O’ Lakes Swamp Fest for thrilling carnival rides, live entertainment, food, and games. The event takes place on Friday from 5:00 to 11:00 pm, as well as Saturday from 12:00 to 11:00 pm, and and Sunday from 12:00 to 6:00 pm .The proceeds of the event will be going to help the Land O’ Lakes High School booster club.

  • Fall Fest at Wesley Grove: Enjoy Fall fun for the whole family with rides and games for all ages, a pumpkin patch, costume party and much more at The Grove in Wesley Chapel. The festival offers free parking and admission and takes at place from 12:00 to 11:00 pm, and Sunday from 12:00 to 10:00 pm.

  • Tampa Premium Outlets Fall Festival: Tampa Premium Outlet’s Fall Festival returns Saturday and Sunday with a food truck rally, live entertainment, and trunk or treat! Make sure to check out the pet costume contest at 3:00 PM on Halloween.

Pinellas County

  • Field of Screams: Can you escape the Fun House, navigate through the dark woods, break out of the big top, and flee to the midway of safety? Welcome to Tasco's 15th annual Carnival of Chaos themed haunted attraction, located at the Pinellas Pioneer Settlement. The haunted house will be open all weekend from 7:00 pm to midnight with tickets costing $10 at presale.

  • Haunted History: Jungle Prada Ghost Tour: Experience stories of pirate ghosts, the cursed Narváez expedition, and a malevolent spirit known as Bad Thing during a tour of an ancient Tocobaga Indian mound off limits to the public, in a spooky jungle overlooking the dark waters of Boca Ciega Bay. Tickets cost $5, with tours available Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and 8:00 pm.

  • Owl O Ween: Friday, from 5:30 to 9:00 pm, bring the family to McGough nature park and follow a spooky nature trail with animal shows, candy scavenger hunt, food truck and a marshmallow roast. Tickets are available at the park and cost $5 for ages 4 and up.

Sarasota/Manatee County

  • Hay Maze At Nathan Benderson Park: The park has set up a free maze made of hay bales for an exciting way to let little kids explore. The maze, which is adjacent to the park’s playground, will be up this weekend and through the season.

Polk County

  • Buena Halloween Block Party: Saturday, from 5:00 to 10:00 pm, witness an unforgettable block party at Buena Market in Downtown Lakeland featuring food trucks, a live set by DJ T. Couture, and a night market with over 50 local makers and artisans. In addition, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, there will be a sectioned off a portion off the market to host a free Trick-or-Treat event for the whole family.
