When exploring the state of Florida, it’s easy to get wrapped up in the main attractions - Miami, Clearwater Beach, Key West, Orlando - but Florida has much more to offer. Read along as we list some underrated parts of Florida that you should visit!

Stuart

Neighboring Palm Beach on Florida’s Treasure Coast, Stuart is the definition of an ecologically-focused Florida small town. Coined the “Sailfish Capital of the World”, Stuart highlights over 4,000 species of plants and animals. You can catch a glimpse of some of those plants and animals at a popular attraction in Stuart, Blowing Rocks Preserve- a protected limestone shoreline that is a great display of how Florida takes care of its wildlife.

Delray Beach

The quieter neighbor of Miami Beach, Delray is a nice break for those looking to escape the crowds and noise of the more popular beach spots. Despite the popularity of its white sand beaches, Delray also boasts a homely, bohemian small town where one can catch live music or a bite to eat!

Anna Maria Island

A small quiet beach town (certainly part of the appeal of Florida’s less traveled routes), Anna Maria Island can fetch you one of the best sunset views of the whole state. Despite this, there are plenty of outdoor activities to be had- kayaking, fishing, snorkeling.

Redlands

Perhaps best known as an agricultural town, a discerning traveler will be able to find the best food Florida has to offer here: mangoes, oranges, berries, strawberries, avocados. In fact, from November to April guests can pick their own produce at Knaus Berry Farm.

Pass-A-Grille

Probably the most underrated gem of St. Petersburg, Pass-A-Grill feels like the end of the world: a beach town of only several blocks, you can literally see the entirety of St. Pete Beach from its tip. Aside from the lovely beach views, there are several wonderful restaurants nestled away as well.

Whatever your tastes may be, it’s certain that Florida has something for everyone. From quiet beach towns to the hustle and bustle of Miami, or quiet farmlands and springs to the backroad country of certain cities, all cultures are welcome.
