The wait is finally over. The highly anticipated St. Pete pier is set to open to the public July 6th at 5 PM according to a release from the City of St. Pete. It was previously set to open May 30th, but was pushed back due to the pandemic.

The pier will be the ultimate place to dine, drink, shop, swim, bike, attend a concert and more. “It’s been a long and winding road, but we’ve arrived at our destination: A dynamic, 26-acre waterfront playground that will serve residents and visitors for generations to come. It’s time for everyone to experience all the Pier District and St. Pete Pier has to offer.” said Mayor Rick Kriseman.

Due to COVID-19, no organized mass gathering will coincide with the pier’s opening. To provide for the health and safety of the pier’s visitors, additional details related to a safe opening of the St. Pete Pier will be shared soon.

For additional information about the pier’s amenities, visit the St Pete Pier’s website. “It’s more than just a Pier, it’s an exPIERience.”
