Pasco County Schools Named AP District of The Year

This unusual school year comes to an end with some great news for Pasco County. Pasco county has been named AP District of the Year among large schools by The College Board, which is a major national accomplishment that reflects positively on everyone.

Superintendent Kurt Browning said “We thought that with a robust plan, thorough preparation and appropriate support, our students and our teachers would be up for the task…and we were right.”

“Increasing access to AP coursework while simultaneously increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher, and increasing participation and success among traditionally underrepresented minority students, is the ideal scenario” according to an email from the Pasco County school board.

There are more than 13,000 school districts in the nation, so winning this award is a huge accomplishment for Pasco County.
