Nonprofit Organization To Donate To Hillsborough County Families

While students are completing coursework from home for the remainder of the school year, families with more than one child and just one computer may feel the effects. Without access to proper technology for each child, children can fall behind on work and lag in comparison to students with immediate access to technology.

As such, Hillsborough County Schools has partnered with the nonprofit organization Computer Mentors Group to provide multi-child families with a brand new desktop computer. The desktops will be donated to around 50 families countywide.

The list of schools included is as follows: Potter, Edison, Foster, James, and Tampa Bay Boulevard Elementary schools.

Computer Mentors Group has teamed up with eSmart Recycling, Quicksilver Recycling, and Wells Fargo to make the donation a reality.

Families can request a computer through the Computer Mentors website at www.computermentors.org/COVID-19-computers.
