A Show of Thanks to COVID-19 first Responders

Look up this Friday for a great kick-off to your weekend!  Two of MacDill’s KC-135 refueling tankers will fly over the region’s major medical centers as a celebration and honor to our essential workers.  The duo of Stratotankers, one from the 6th Air Refueling Wing and the other from the 927th Air refueling Wing will launch at about 10:30am from MacDill Air Force base and head south towards the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.  There will be a short delay, then they will head back towards the North along the bay, turn south following I-75 to Sarasota, and finally turn North through St. Pete prior to returning to base.

Their route includes the following 13 hospitals and medical centers:

1.       Tampa General (Davis Islands)

2.       Brandon Regional (Brandon)

3.       Riverview Regional (Riverview)

4.       South Bay Hospital (Sun City Center)

5.       Sarasota Memorial (Sarasota)

6.       St. Anthony’s (St. Petersburg)

7.       St. Pete General Women’s Hospital (St. Petersburg)

8.       Bay Pines VA (St. Petersburg)

9.       Largo Medical Center (Largo)

10.   Children’s Medical Center (Westchase)

11.   Tampa General North (Carrollwood)

12.   University of South Florida (North Tampa)

13.   Tampa General (Davis Islands)
