  • Chalktober Fest: Artists create chalk masterpieces in front of Clearwater and Clearwater Beach area businesses and attractions. Each weekend moves to a different neighborhood. This week features Island Estates. Artwork changes weekly. Work starts Thursday morning with pieces scheduled for completion by noon Saturday.

  • St. Petersburg Museum of History’s “Creepatorium”: The museum's Odditorium Gallery turns into a Creepatorium for Halloween. A collection of creepy dolls have taken over. The dolls date from the early 1800's to the mid 1900's. Some depict real world characters such as Charlie Chaplin, complete with a real hat and cane. Others have eerie features such as sleeping eyes, toothy grins and ventriloquist mouths. They've moved in for the month of October and they're keeping the doors open for extra hours every Friday through Oct. 30.

Hillsborough County

  • The Straz Center for the Performing Arts Presents The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: The stage moves outside onto the Riverwalk as Jobsite's Bad Boys of Abridgement take us on a two-hour romp through 37 Shakespeare plays. Cabaret style seating for parties of two to four.

  • The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Carrollwood Players Theatre Presents The Rocky Horror Show Book, Music, and Lyrics by Richard O'Brien Directed by Thomas Pahl A CWP Mainstage Musical Production October 9th - 31st, 2020 Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named "Rocky." Complete with sass from the audience, cascading toilet paper, and an array of other audience participation props, this deliberately kitschy rock ‘n' roll sci-fi gothic musical is more fun than ever. Presented with the support of the Arts Council of Hillsborough County and the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners. The Rocky Horror Show is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company.

  • Heights Fall Festival at Armature Works: The third annual festival features a pumpkin patch, photo ops, live music, craft beer and a food drive to benefit Metropolitan Ministries. Free on Saturday 10/10 from 10 AM - 5 PM.
